Comment by Russ Haynes on July 2, 2013 at 9:16am: Aymee -- my table was based on a design by Randall Price that you can check out on YouTube here. I did make a few changes to the design. For instance, I chose to make the table top and fence out of melamine. Unfortunately, I don't have any hard plans or measurements -- I don't really use them. I look around, see what materials I have, then let that dictate my measurements. The base is from an old Craftsman compound mitre saw. I built two wooden boxes the same size, joined them with three hinges on the back, added bracing to the top one, routed out an impression for my router plate in the melamine top, then mounted the router from underneath.
