Queen Sized Storage Bed

Daughter wanted a bunk bed, but with the low ceiling height in her bedroom that wasn't happening. We bought the queen mattress and box spring first and when we started looking for bed frames the only kid's beds were full sized. A simple plan of building the storage boxes an inch longer than the mattress 81 inches. The face frames were 82 1/2 to conceal headboard and foot-board. Just used poplar for the frames and 1/2 inch whiteboard (which I haven't heard of before) plywood for the panels on the side which were dado-ed with a router. My one big overlook was attaching the face frames to the bottom of the boxes. If I had one of those tiny lithium drills I could have made pocket holes in the bottom corners inside the boxes, but that didn't happen. My drills were too large and the boxes with the frames attached were to heavy and awkward to get underneath to pocket them that way... It always a learning experience with each project. Bring on the next one.....
