If you set back the ends by 3/4" you can place one board on the end for a more pleasing presentation.

Thank you. I still might make a head board for it. It is not hard to make. Once you learn how to make a face frame and the rest is just 3 sides of a box attached to the face frame. The drawers took a little work to be sure the runners were installed correctly with the proper spacing. They came with some directions.

Of course like everything, once you make it you realize that you would do it different. I will get that chance when I make another bed for my other daughter. There is a gentlemen on this site that made a nice bed that I will somewhat copy but still put some drawers on it.

 

I like the chests you made. My daughters would like one of those. Keep up the good work. Wood working is kinda relaxing.

I have just started with my R3 so it will be a while till I get to something that big. Inspiring stuff.
