Here is a painted sideboard project I recently finished. I used maple plywood for the carcass, poplar for the face frame and Walnut for the top. Both Sides have adjustable shelves for flexibility and I left inside natural using only several coats of poly.

I don't have any plans for this but it was re-sized and altered from the original plans from Ana White here. The Walnut top is just glued up with no fasteners and I just used a block plane to round over the edges. The Walnut top was finished with Danish oil and polyurethane.
