10 Piece Maple face (birch ply) built in bookcase for my home office. It's coming along slowly but surely as I figure it out.

Thanks Al! I appreciate the compliment. I love a challenge. The fun part for me is figuring out how to do it so I went big, ha ha. Honestly the hardest part was figuring out how to stain maple a color I would be happy with. I've currently hit a bit of a road block on the finishing touches. I'm sure this is where experience (and a larger collection of tools) would come in handy. I'm brain storming of ways to make it look more ornate and not so "IKEA". Old world, tuscan is the look I'm going for. Thinking of maybe wrought iron doors and distressing. Maybe a farm table style desk coming from the center unit. Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated.
Wow Denny, I cant believe that its your first go at woodworking, most people would start of with making something small then build up to a project this size, your doing an amazing job. Well done, I look forward to seeing the finished built in bookcase.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
