Rich,
Thank you so much for this information. I'm going home today and do some drawings on the wall to get a rough idea of what I need. I'll shop for my baskets this weekend. I'm sick of this spot being the dumping ground. It's time to get it done! Thanks again.
Hi Kathleen, the unit is 66" wide and 99 " tall . the seat is 19" above floor. The open lockers, the three storage compartment at the top and under the bench are 21" wide.the lockers are 461/2 " tall.the top row of storage 21" wide x 14" tall. the middle row of storage is 12 1/2 " wide x 13" tall the bench top is maple and the rest is poplar. the paint is a custom white that there builder used on the rest of the house. the sizes for the bin was decided by what baskets to use and how many . she gave me a bunch to choose from.the row with 5 baskets has 1/2 dividers every thing else is 3/4 capped with 1 1/4 boards. the 2 legs are a solid 1 1/2 wide. I really hope this helps and feel free to ask for any more info .good luck with yours Rich
Rich,
Thank you so much for the reply. I would love to have some general dimensions. I'm going to start drawing marks on the wall, such as bench height (what feels comfortable) and the height of the cubby's etc. I think I need to buy the baskets so I can get more exact dimensions. I love how you did the "feet". I've seen these built in's with the wood going to the floor. I love how your's look like decorative feet. I love molding and I have a huge space so I'm going to build out the side walls a little bit so I can have beefier crown. I really appreciate your time.
Hi Kathleen, thanks it turned out great. I don't really have any plans just a sketch I did with the home owners, but they are good friends and I will be there this weekend . I can get some dimentions if you would like.
Rich,
I love everything about this. You wouldn't happen to have any rough plans you would like to share would you? Maybe you could give some dimensions like total height, height of bench etc. Obviously width and depth would vary depending on space, but this is exactly what I want to do in our "mudroom." Great job.
Rich, this is very nice and well designed your craftsmanship is excellent. I like the contrast of the dark and light materials. The storage system is especially nice as it offers upper and lower storage as well as a traditional " hang up" space for coats, sweaters and wraps. Thanks for showing your work.
very nice. About to embark on a similar project.

Hi All.....I have the 35mm Kreg Jig hinge drill guide. The guide is great for 35mm Hinge Cups, but I have a speciality 40MM hinge cup to drill.Has anyone adapted the Kreg guide to work with 40mm Forsner drill bits? Or have a guide that works…Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
