I put this together with a partial sheet of 3/4" oak cabinet plywood after looking at some similar setups on this site. The idea is to be able to remove the upper cabinet from the sawhorse and easily transport it away from the shop. It's held to the horse with 4 carriage bolts and wingnuts. The idea with the plexi is to be able to make project specific reference marks with a grease pencil and remove them when finished.

That drawer makes a lot of stuff handy. I love that. The 'Station' looks plenty sturdy and has a nice wide footprint, which is beautiful. Oak ply is as good as anything, could also do popular with some powder paint (yes, I have a tremendous fashion sense about me). The plexi top on those outriggers...ur, I'm thinking...yes, definitely, 'an original idea.' What a great solution for a needed mark...and, it keeps with what Craig S. (Kreg Chairman), would do. He engineer's many user-friendly features into every new Kreg product. Nice job Nate...it works for me and surly must satisfy you.
Errrrr....No plans really. It just kind of developed as I went! If I remember correctly the horse is about 18" high, 12" deep, and 24" long. I put about 18" of rise over 1" of run on the legs front to back with a framing square so the base of the horse is about14" deep. For the cabinet it's 6" tall, 12" deep, and 24" long. These dimensions allow the jig to sit at 24" high so you're above it drilling down. It does not collapse other than the cabinet's ability to be removed from the horse. My idea was to be able to take the cabinet off leaving the horse behind and have a easily transportable pocket hole station that I could use on the tailgate, or a milk crate etc.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
