Minature Wheelbarrow

A 1/4 scale. model of an old hand built wheelbarrow. The original was built about 100 years before my family acquired it, by an old german carpenter. the family used it another 50 years. I used it to haul ashes & tin cans for five cents per a two bushel basket load. I made money at 6 years old using it to buy my first .22 rifle, and to buy my ammo. The old wheelbarrow is long gone now, and I wanted something to remember it by. It was quite a challenge the eight spoke wheel being the biggest. The side boards come off as the originals did, and the added board in the bed to accomidate two baskets, like the original. The baskets are old Lonaberger baskets with wire handles bushel basket handles added.
