Can you explain in more detail. I am making a flag case with all angles of 45's this sounds like your plan when you say "I prefer to have the bottom piece set inside of the top two pieces". I would like to use the Kreg jig but am unsure what jig you are using and where you are positioning from. Are you drilling on the inside or outside? When you say 'Drill to 3/4"' is that where you are setting the stop collar depth? Thanks for any help you can give me. The flag case is for my father who passed away in 2009 after slipping on ice and cracked his skull. He was a retired WWII Army Air Corp B29 pilot.
John, I like the display you made. I am working on plans now for my son and a friend of mine who recently returned from Kuwait. Did you use the Kreg on the angle top and corners also?

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
