My second project was to build a stand from the plans on the Kreg web site. It needs to be 1/2" taller to accommodate the portable jig. But in all a good project.

Nice Project
Cool jig stand
Richard, no need to wait for the micro jig unless you want to. I used the regular one that came with the master kit. Don't really understand why the plans call for the micro when your actually making it with the standard. I also used a screw driver as my drill/driver stripped the plywood even on the lowest clutch setting. Oh, and for a drawer handle I just used a 1" course thread screw, LOL. I have not added the grab handles on the sides as yet. I might just make some wooden ones instead of buying the ones in the plans. Hope this helps!
I've cut up all the wood for mine, and made the drawer 1" deeper, per your comments. I'm now waiting for the Micro Jig, so I can use 3/4" screws. Did you put the grab handle on it? I was thinking of just cutting out a hole to grab onto, as the screws that came with the handle are way too long. There's not much to work with when working with 1/2" plywood.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
