Kids Built in

Just finished this project. It was made in 6 pieces. 3 lower cabinets, 3 uppers. All the cabinets were made with the Kreg jig. The jig saved me alot of time. The cabinets were screwed to the wall and the molding were added at the end. It was elevated off the grouns to clear the heater on the left.

Painting it was a pain.

Thank you all for the kind words. I have to give my wife alot of credit. She came up with the design and the idea and suggestions as i was building it.

Roger, well designed and executed plan.  The idea of having the cabinets up off the floor is unique and a very smart idea as it leaves the floor open where you can clean under it yet still use it for storage of toys that are most likely the most used.   It served two purposes in this situation giving you storage and at the same time allowing you to clear the heater problem.   I like the way you have built the upper units to fit that of the lower cabinets making it appear as a single large unit giving it that true build in look.  Six doors under a 3 large opening cabinet is always eye appealing in design.

This is a very good display of thinking a design through and then crafting it into a flawless designed piece of woodwork.  It is  a fine display of your talent and craftsmanship abilities.   Thank you for showing and sharing your work

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
