Game Table - 35 years in the making

Gaming Table created around my Junior High Shop Project.

I recently bought a Kreg Jig and used it to finish a project I started in 1977 when I made a 16-inch square chess board in my 8th grade shop class. I always wanted to make it into a table. However, my woodworking skill set did not include mortise and tenon joints so the project languished. The Kreg jig made it a snap to build a frame out of 1 X 6 Oak around the chess board and use 1 X 3 and 2 X 2 Oak to build a supporting table. The overall size is roughly 27 inches square and 30 inches tall. The chess set is bisque ceramic that I made back in the day as well. My kids are playing a lot more chess now!
