Distressed Poplar Kitchen Table

A one of a kind kitchen table made from 5/4 Poplar. A unique pattern of diagonal and strait boards 8"/10"/8" and a 3" border with maple kreg plugs added throughout the top of the table. The white washed legs lend the matching detail to the rest of the kitchen from a previous project "Kitchen Remodel."

I got the 5/4 poplar from a local lumber yard, the finished look is attributed greatly to beating the table with a chain and hammer and the pecan stain.

Great table, the wood has an interesting look to it. Where did you get the wood?
