My daughter is a recent newlywed, RN and pursuing a Nurse Practioner's degree. She decided to turn one of the bedrooms in her townhouse into her home office while still providing a bed for guests. She found a photo on pinterest of built in bookcases and a day bed. Due to her night and weekend work schedule and my M-F 8-4:30 schedule it made it difficult for me to find time to work on the project. It took me 10 months to complete. The shelves are made of 3/4" Melamine and the face frames, door panels and drawer fronts are made of 3/4" MDF. The Kreg Pocket Hole Jig was the workhorse for fastening all of the shelves to the sides. I also used the kreg pocket hole system for the face frames and the trundle bed panel and the bed frames. The kreg crown pro was a life saver for cutting the crown molding. this was my first project using crown molding. If I had it to do over, I would have built each shelf in two parts in my shop and installed them. It would have made for a much quicker project.
