I wanted to make a rocking horse for my daughter's first Christmas and Birthday. I used pocket screws for assembly because the washer drew the parts tight together and they are self-tapping. I enjoyed this one. I used no. 2 pine floor joists and some 5/4 board I had lying around. Finally, I laminated plywood to the rockers for more strength because of the cross-grain nature of the plywood. Still thinking of what finish to use.

great looking project looks store bought, this would make any child happy, good job
It looks good even without finish. Like the design, well executed. I'm sure your daughter will get loads of fun riding it. Great job!
Antonio, I purchased the plans from u-bild.com. Here is the link http://www.u-bild.com/woodworking-projects/738.htm. The plans are full-sized and traceable. I usually traced the pieces on poster board using graphite paper and then cut them out. It helps in selecting boards and making copies if need be. I would be happy to help you with any aspects of the construction process.
Very nice Woork!!
I will love to make something like this for my 1.5 year old son, do you have plans to share?
