Jerry,

In addition to the brand of white lacquer and satin clear lacquer finish you recommend. How high of a CFM compressor do you use? I picked up a nice HVLP spray gun for $52.38 from Harbor Freight, thanks for the tip!

Thanks,
Tim

They are sprayed using a HVLP Sprayer $40.00 at Harbor Frieght. That is 2 coats of white laquer, and 2 coats of satin clear laquer finish.I sprayed the 2 coats of white laquer first, then 1 coat of clear laquer. Then I stained the groove's with a black dye stain with a small artist brush,it doesn't matter if you get some on the white because you have your 1st coat of clear on it. Then I took a achohol soaked rag and wiped off the excess black and let it dry overnight.Next day I light sanded with 320 grit wet+dry paper everything and wipe everything off with tack cloth.Sprayed my last coat of clear satin laquer over everything and that's what you get. There is a small amount of Gold dye mixed with the black to give it that antique look. You can mix dyes however you want, just practice on scrap until you get what you are looking for.If you have never used dyes I suggest doing research on how they work first and there use's. Thanks

Awesome job! What tools, paint, and technique did you use to paint the white China cabinet? It looks like it has a different colored glaze in the door bead.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
