This was made from scraps and MDF found in my shop for my daughter's cat. The cat doesn't like to climb (weird?), so this is what I came up in efforts to create a space of its own.
It gives the cat a place to lounge atop and a place to hide in the space below. The carpeted ramp behind offers a good opportunity to scratch and another way to the top.
Construction began with my Kreg jig and coarse pocket screws, but due to the hateful nature of the MDF, the project was completed using ring shank finishing nails and glue.

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
