Earl, you are more that welcome, It is confussing at first but with some practice it becomes almost a habit.  With practice making doors becomes a joyful experience and is actually one of my favorite steps in making cabinets.

Something I did not cover too well in the slideshow is how to determine the sizes of the parts.  It depends on two things, how wide do you want the stiles and rails to be and how deep does your door making cope bits cut.  These two things determine the length of the rails and the panel size.  My bits cut a 7/16" deep cut so as an example making a 16 inch wide door by 32 inch high  with 2" rails and stiles I cut the stiles 32 inches long x 2 & 7/16" and the rails will be 12 inches long.  If the door is an arched door the upper rail will be 4  1/4 inches wide and the lower rail will be 2 & 7/16 inches wide.  The panel will be 11 and 3/4 inches wide and 28 inches long.

I just finished making some divided arched doors for glass panels.  They are for a cabinet job I'm doing and this will add some more details into the steps in making doors.  Time permitting I will put together another slide show on how to build these doors.  Hopefully I will find time to do a slide show on making doors using a table saw as well and covering such door styles as shaker doors using both a router and a table saw making mortise and tennon joints.

I'm sure you can make the door, just work carefully as the cutting of the arches in the upper rail and arch on the panel can be frightening at first.  In the steps you are cutting the pattern on the rail arch and the arch on the panel without the aid of a fence.  I requires that you enter a spinning bit onto a bearing  and requires that you use caution when running your stock near the router bit.

 Need help please ask.

Thanks Don for the kind words and you are very welcome.  I enjoy teaching others whom wish knowledge and help.  Time permitting I will be doing some more on building doors, drawers and what ever else I can to help others.

Al, You are very welcome, glad you found this worth while.  It is one of the harder parts in cabinet building to do but it gives the biggest impact in appearance of cabinets.  I might do one on divided lite grid doors.
