Bistro tables

These two tables were a house warming present for friends. Their porch has an awesome view of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. This was the first time I used pocket joinery to glue up a table top; before now it was always biscuit joinery. The top is 1.5" thick and made of Hackberry with Walnut inlays. The finish is several coats of a linseed oil/mineral spirit cocktail followed by several coats of a spar varnish.
The bases are powder coated wrought iron and were bought from www.tablebases.com

Very pretty tables! Great wood and metal combo, like the gorgeous grains and the walnut stripes on top. Beautiful work!

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
