I have had my dinning room table for 16 years. But the chairs on the other hand...well I'm working on my 3rd set. My wife ordered another set of 4, but that will take 4-8 weeks. I got tired of standing in the kitchen and eating so I deceided to build this 5 board bench. It's a farmhouse style table, I have seen many with benches simalar to this so I gave it a try. I used pine from Lowes 3/4 thick by 12" wides. One board 8' long and one 3/4 x 4 for the supports. It's solid as a rock. I stained it, to try to match the table, finally got it close enough, wish I would have painted it hunter green like the turned table legs. But a great project. It's very comfortable.
