I'm sure if you using a new well sharpen drill bit, the holes are pretty good, but in time with a dull bit that drill won't do the job if not enough RPM's.

The Kreg manual said that a drill with at least 2000 RPM's is needed to make pocket holes, so this was the reason I brought a 2500 rpm DeWalt drill. But a few days ago with a new drill bit I used my cordless 1200 rpm ( maybe more, maybe less) and got really good results from it.
