I saved this old Mission rocking chair from a landfill about 18 years ago; major repairs and refinishing were required. I had a cushion made for it.
For years I looked for companion pieces to no avail. Using the Kreg jig for my antique end table gave me hope I could build the foot stool and end table, I did it! For visual appearance the drawers were made using standard technique, not pocket holes.
I bought a cheap plunge router from Harbor Freight and built a jig to cut the slots for the slats; this procedure eventually worked but was very stressful.
