75% of all joinery on this desk are Kreg Jig pocket holes! This is European style cabinetry. Kreg Jigs are great for this type of project. Save lumber when you design and build European! I couldn't have done this easy it without the Kreg Jig...

Hi Paula, I have some more pics on my FB page. I will be posting more as I go. I just recently completed the drawers and 3 of the 4 doors. There were no plan, other than the ones that i drew up before I started...and they were just rough plans. What got me started on this was the $4000 price tag that "Closets By Design" quoted us for something less. So, I found the lumber on craigslist for $2 per bd/ft...rough. I convinced my wife to let me invest in a $400 Dewalt planer and 525 bd feet of lumber. Since then, I have also bought a $100 plate joiner, $300 of hardware slides/hinges/shelf pins, and expect to buy knobs and handles. I'll still come in below CBD by a long shot and have plenty of lumber left over to make a matching built-in entertainment center this spring.

I meant to say Maloof and I was also wondering if you will be posting any more pictures of it. I just showed it to my husband and he loved it also!

Robert, this is amazing!! I love the stain too and will be sure to check out mallof as well. This is exactly the kind of set up I would like to have in our office. Did you have plans for this or make it up yourself? If you have plans, I would love to know where you got them so I could do it as well if you don't mind. Beautiful work!

@Joey - Thanks for your comment. You may thank Sam Maloof for the finish on the desk...if he were still alive. His recipe is available online, just Google Maloof and Finish.

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
