From FREE pallets I received from a business that supplies the snow plowing industry in our Northern IL region here I reclaimed these pallets that were made out of Oak and Maple. Decided that I was going to use them for my first Kreg Jig project. After separating them and de-nailing them(lots of work but really fun in a strange way) I chose the pieces to be cut down to the size I needed for the Kreg Work Bench plans. Even though they didn't look to bad as is I decided to get them planed by a friend who has a DeWalt planer(haven't got one yet). Thats the next photo.
