I still need to clean-up my glue mess on the runner. The main body was 2 pieces of black walnut "kreg'd" together. Keep in mind, I did this in 8 hours just before the snow fell. Wan't looking for a pretty sled, just one that worked well. The main supports are made from cherry. I was going to add two more pieces of walnut to the sections jetting out but never did as they acted well as handles and footrests for my girls.
