Jim i think we get more pleasure knowing we gave something a new life. The mantlepiece in our front room i made out of a oak gatepost that had rotted at ground level[picture on my projects section].Also made a oak coffee table out of a window frame, that came out of a old manor house.I rescued it from a skip[do you say dumpster over there?]The top of the table was old skirting from the same house .
Thanks Michael for the comment , these boards were so nice that I just had to sand and putty a few nail holes . They were used on top of skids to make a box, love to recycle , JIM
Love to recycle ,while back i made a large toy box for my little nephew all out of pallets. Its a challenge stripping them down though.Iput it all through my little benchtop thicknesser no nasty splinters.
nice work you cant tail that it's made of crate wood.
Thanks JENS , hate to see it go to the land fills and if what I make for people makes them happy that is what it all about !!!
