I'm considering purchasing a Kreg jig. The question is which one? For those of you familiar with both, which is the better value: The Kreg Jig K3 Master System or the Kreg Jig that comes with the TV offer?

Good question, David. I'm sure many of the posters here will have their own opinions to share with you. Here is good resource to get you started. Good luck with your decision!

I agree 100% that the vacuum adapter is needed.

I went with the Kreg Kit that is offered on the infomercial but I bought it from Amazon. Same price with free shipping. This kit has everything you need to get started. I didn't think the vacuum adapter would be that important but let me tell you it is. I'm extremely happy with my Kreg.
I'm new to this discussion group but not to the Kreg Jigs, I probably should not reply here as I am not familiar with the jigs mentioned above. But I do have a K2000 mounted to a bit of plywood and set up for 1 1/2" material by default, a K2 which I usually use on 3/4" stuff, the two hole Rocket, and a handful of Mini Jigs (I usually just pick up a Mini Jig Kit when I need a new bit as the price is close to the same). I also have the Heavy Duty Bench Klamp with the plate mounted flush with my workbench top and use the Kreg bandsaw fence on my Delta bandsaw. I've never been disappointed with any Kreg product. Whatever Kreg jig you decide on will likely not be a disappointment.

The biggest project that I have used the pocket hole system on is all the framing for the teardrop camping trailer that I built, but I use them on many different things, the latest being a 2x4 frame for an old kitchen sink for my wife to use in her vegetable garden.
