What to do with these THINGS?
These are laminated truss scrap I scrounged from a construction site trash heap. Hey free wood you know. They are between 3-4 ft. long and 17.5 inches wide. I thought about another bench but was also thinking about making a couple fire pit benches to go along with a future landscape plan the wife has in mind. Any other Ideas out there??

Looks like one would make a perfect top for a small workbench. I saw an episode of the Woodsmith Shop where they made a workbench top by laminating a bunch of 2x4s together.

I was thinking along those lines also. Maybe a dedicated clamp bench? They are heavy sons a guns.

I like the idea of stringing them together for a heavy duty workbench 14 ft long. You could bolt down all sorts of tools. My bench is 2 in thick maple slabs scavenged from old gas station, turned upside down with a fresh coat of poly.
Or attach them all together for a 35 in by 84 in island.

A large work bench would be nice but my space is limited in a 12x16 ' hobby shop. I may do 2 together for an 8' bench. 2 have been reserved for a couple of fire pit benches I have plans for.

Benches would be great, just don't make a teeter-totter.
I took a bad crash on a bench seat years ago on Christmas eve, when I moved to the end to let someone sit down.
The legs must be as wide and as long as the bench.

Build a stool ---
see where it goes.
They'll make for a conversation piece.
I recall, the 'ol "one legged" stool, being quite handy.
My Granddad had them on his dairy farm.
One leg versions similar to those in use today in the field of occupational therapy to help youngsters with autism in self regulating their fidgeting
