I am working on a skirt roof which is a small eave like projection from the facade of a house between the first and second stories. What I would like to do is use pocket holes to join the roof part to the house the holes will have to be on the top. This is the part I need help, how do you drill the holes when the boards had a 45 miter  to keep it tight to the house. The structure is made of 2x10s. I could always just screw it in to the house but I think it would be much stronger with the pocket holes. Thanks Will

You have to lay the 45 flat on the jig. The hard part is finding the spot on the edge with enough material to drill the holes.
Thanks Gary for the quick response. I have the wood that was cut away when i made the cut, so i could just put it back to hold the wood straight. Where I want to put the holes though is on the other side, the side without the cut. The screws would be on the top of the roof. With my applacation it would be impossible to screw the roof from the underside.
