I'm planning to build an office counter using 2x4's as the frame.  Can I use the Kreg jig to build the overall frame?  Is it an overkill or waste of screws?  I rather not spend the money on nailer gun and a compressor.

Imagine if you could process all of the studs ahead of time though... Anyone could do that, a kid could do that while watching TV. Get the Kreg Jig setup, and drill holes in all of the studs. Then, get them to the jobsite and screw away! Should be pretty fast actually. And obviously way strong.
Thanks guys, I'll definitely go through this route until I absolutely need a nailer. Eventually I'm sure but not doing huge project enough to warrant the use.
I just used it to frame in a back wall for the counter back splash. . Works great but 4 screws is definitely overkill. Go with two or maybe three and that should hold just fine.
Definitely two screws is what I was thinking. I'll post up pictures in the near future :)
sounds good but why not just screw together without the pocket holes ,Framing should not show
