I am having issues cutting cedar plugs, they are too loose, too short and rough. When I read the online advice and forums they suggested using a higher speed drill. I went and got a corded drill to get better speed to cut smoother plugs. I thought this would improve the quality and smoothness of the plugs, but it didn't really make that much difference. I also have a problem with the size of the plugs as they are too loose and too short. This is very new plug cutter and I cant understand why they are loose and too short. The plugs end up at least a quarter to 3/8" too short. Its hard to get the plug to stay were you put it and need it to stay as fall right into the hole, leaving a large divot that is unfilled. I hope someone can help me out.
