I have a couple of Jersey's I want to build nice display frames for.  Has anybody attempted this project and have any pointers they want to share?

here's a kreg frame and it is easy to build.

This was my first attempt.  I ended up not using the kreg jig.  I wasn't real sure on how to have mitered corners with pocket holes.  So instead I cut a rabbit with my table saw and then screwed and glued the corners together.

Job well done, looks really good!

I really like the wood frame, what type of wood is it? can we get a pic of the back?

Carlos,

this is what the back looks like.   I made the frame out of 1"x2' oak.  to keep everything flat on the glass i cut a piece of 1/4" plywood the size of the mat the jersey is on.  I then used clear silicone to seal it in place then covered the back with heavy paper.  Its actually the construction paper you put down on floors and other things to protect them.  I glued it to the frame to seal out dirt, dust and any little insects.  If you stretch the paper tight it helps to keep everything in place as well.  To hold the mat I went around the inside edge with construction staples.  I think there is some sort of specialty tool to use for this, but staples seem to work as well.

Thanks for the repl, very informative and helpful
