Have a router but trying to use it for some operations is not wise. A table would allow me to complete some of the projects that I have on the back burner. Would be a great addition to one day completing the needed tools to make a good job better.

Make your own! Build a bigger table top using a solid core door slab or large cut off from a slab. Door companies often give these away. I have made 2 or 3, changing designs each time. Wood Haven used to have LEVELERS for this, and buy a larger after market router base plate. Then you would cut out the hole, install the adjusters, put the base plate on your router, level it and go. This is easy, and allows easy bit changes by pulling the router & base plate out on top of your table. A fence can be any straight edge and 2 clamps. Fine adjustments are by loosening 1 clamp and tapping the loose end of the fence. I have a JoinTech Fence years ago for accurate repeatable settings on my router table, but I usually have it on my table saw, and still use a simple straight edge for most everything.
My router was my most underused tool for 20 years, until I made my first router table.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
