Storing heavy weight objects in the 8-11" deep drawers,

I'd use 3/4" thick stock, for the front, sides and back,.

1/2"' stock for the bottom and dado for the bottom shelf engaging with the verticle members.

1/2" material will support more weight.

Also, suggest installing a center support, front to back---

so as to prevent sagging in the drawer bottom.

I'd recommend using glue to secure the bottom panel in the dado's.

For my 4" & 6" drawers, I used 3 screws; 8" and 10" drawers got 4 screws. I spaced 2-3" apart. I don't think I used glue on any of them, but I don't have the weight you are planning on. My drawer bottoms are also ¼" plywood riding in dadoes.
