I got the K3 about three years ago and it worked great - saw the K4 some time later and thought to myself that it might be awkward to reach over the material to clamp.

Yesterday, while changing the clamp width on my K3, as I backed off the nut - the whole metal assembly came out of the fiberglass housing.  It goes back in but you can't back off the nut - it keeps coming out, and now I'm stuck with that setting.

In looking at the K3 and K4 together, it appears the K4's clamping assembly is all metal and its rear handle links directly to the clamp;  as opposed to the K3's metal in a fiberglass housing, with linkages to the front mounted handle.

So maybe this is why they went from a front to rear mounted handle for the clamp.

In the meantime, I now have to fill the gap with a scrap piece of wood and hold the handle down to apply clamp pressure.

Has anyone else had this problem - and if Kreg is monitoring this forum, are they any fixes?

I've been using my Adaptive Cutting System table for a few years now, and it's been really solid. This past week was the first time I ever needed to use the miter guide though.I was rebuilding some shelving in a tiny closet and I discovered the…Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
