Jean: I'm glad you got through to Customer Service. I agree that the markings on your Drill Guide appear to be printed incorrectly.
James: Thanks for your willingness to jump in and help. I've been away from work sick since yesterday morning, so I hadn't seen the posting. But, you jumped in and gave all the right advice!

Great that you got quick response from Kreg. One thing I'll mention; check the thickness of your wood carefully, and drill some test holes in a scrap piece first. Plywood is usually slightly under the size it's sold at. I bought some 1/2" baltic birch last year to build some cabinets, and after several screws popping through I checked the wood and it was almost 1/16" shy of half inch. I found that backing off the depth slightly on the drill bit collar solved the issue.
kreg Rep. , you are welcome , glad I could send Jean in the right direction to get her problem solved !!! As I told her this is what this site is all about , wood workers helping wood worker,s , have a good day , JIM !!!!
