I'm new to working with wood and my wife bought me the toolbox kit from Lowes. One project I plan to do is a platform for my front load washer and dryer. Is your standard kreg jig/screws that come in the Lowes kit strong enough for this project? I had planned on doing this with just plain screws and wood filler but the wife surprised me with this kit.

Plenty strong for that project.
Use the Kreg pocket hole system---
a lot simpler and faster than the other method.
Thanks for the response! I was concerned that I would need to get the HD jig for this project. I think I'll still eventually pick up the HD jig down the road for future projects.
I have already been bookmarking different plans for beginners to use the Kreg on.
Toolbox kit?
Which one did you get, cause in the one advertised on the home page here has the 4 Kreg jigs....
....it is called "The Toolbox Master Collection" and costs $299.00.
The toolboxx kit that Lowes carries is different from the one on the Kreg website. This is what my wife bought
