Saw this overhead garage storage system built on YouTube.

Really would like to build something like this for my garage and I would love some feedback and opinions on building this using the Kreg system. Will the Kreg joints hold up to the heavy weight? Are there any modifications I can make to this one that will insure a stronger finished product?
Basically, looking for any advice from all you pros out there to make this thing stand up to the abuse. Please feel free to chime in with your thoughts.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I’d use lag screws to secure the frame members to the ceiling, with a thread engagement of 2-1/2” into the ceiling joists.
Secure the vertical members to the members on the ceiling with 3” long lag screws.
Use bolts and nuts to secure the horizontal members to the vertical members.
The slats can be affixed using pocket holes and screws.
NOTE: insure there is adequate clearance for opening and closing of the garage door.
Alternate garage ceiling storage method(s):
a)
b)
c) Long Eyebolts with electrical conduit thru the eyebolts

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
