Does anyone know if there is an attachment that I can put on my drill press to make it an "oscillating" spindle sander?
Thanks!

I recently learned there is a drill press with that feature, but I don't know of any attachments one can buy.
Hey Doug...are you also am member of Lumberjocks? The reason I asked is that I posted the same question there someone posted a video of a foot pedal attachment that they built. It was pretty cool.

I believe you are reffering to the attchment Delta Makes or did make for their drill presses. I thought it was a great idea, went right out and bought one, and never have used it. I did the same with their mortising attachment and a full line of the hollow chisel bits, never used it, bought a Delta Tendoning jig, and it's never been used ether. I guess that I should sell them, as I am almost to old to use them now.

---or---
connect an link to the drill press handle---
extending the link down to a foot operated pivoting peddle on the floor.
So as to move the drill press spindle up and down with your foot, vs hand operated.

Great idea Ken!!
Why don't you ever use them? Sounds like a good way to make mortise and tenons.
