Hello everyone,
About to try my hand at woodworking. Total beginner so looking for some "must have" woodworking/furniture books for beginners. Anything with detailed plans would be helpful. Or maybe some useful sites too. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance,

Hi Carlos. Have a look at www.ana-white.com. some fantastic plans and you can filter by novice, beginner etc and type of thing you want to build.
Hi Carlos!
I found that Ana White (as mentioned above) is very helpful. Also, I spent an afternoon watching videos after I searched "kreg jig" in the www.youtube.com search. Also, try the Chief's Shop http://chiefs-shop.com/html/plans.html
Happy woodworking!
YouTube has some great stuff on it. Add the following people to your YouTube watch list:
Paul Sellers
David Barron
Charles Neil, especially the ones about finishing "pine" and his anti-blotch pretreatment
Anything you can find on Sam Maloof
Izzy Swan
Chad Stanton
Matthias Wandel
This should give you plenty to start with. The only paper books I really use and have gotten a lot out of are:
(1) Shop Drawings of Shaker Furniture (combined volumes)
(2) Bob Flexner's "Understanding Wood Finishing"
(3) Bruce Hoadley's book on identifying wood, think it's from the early 1990s. Very useful if you plan to use discarded wood, reclaimed wood, buy wood from barns being torn down, etc.
Good luck -- welcome to the Rabbit Hole. Can't wait to see some pics of your projects!

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
