Currently working on designing bunk beds around existing mattresses we have in the beds that are in the youngest girls room. The issue with the room is it is really small 8' x 12' and there are now two 41" beds side by side in there. There is no room at all and the dresser winds up in or living room.

Needless to say I have to do something to acquire room in there. Being that they are 7 and 8 years old it is a never ending battle to keep clean. Too much changing clothes during the day and them just dropping it in the isle way. Mom and I have threatened to go in and throw all away on floor, but the matter is there is nowhere to put it... So comes the new pocket hole jig and dads engineering knowledge to the rescue, or just another disaster to help in house hold chaos.

Will document this fully as it goes on from designing to hopeful solution, and add projects as I go to help it all get better.

I think I would do a bunk bed with drawers under the bottom bunk.  That should help a lot.
I have been working on the design around the mattresses, and the room dimensions. Do most of it at work when i get time as of late I never am able to think at home without all the distractions. Will post a pick on the design tomorrow for progress.
