Kreg Owners' Community

Hi, I'm still pretty new to woodworking (other than wall framing and shop class in high school), but I have been able to make a few projects with the Kreg jig.

I'm hoping to make a replica military foot locker with some cedar to line the bottom and do some custom woodburning on the lid as a gift for someone heading off to boot camp in April.

The problem is that I can't find plans for anything even close to one of those online or in catalogs. From what I remember of them (I'm a USMC Gulf War 1 veteran), there really wasn't much to them. They were just simple plywood boxes with 3 hinges, metal corner caps and 2 rails inside to hold small totes/shelves. The ones we had did have metal handles on the sides, but I've seen a WWII-era diagram that had a wood block on either end as handles.

I'm at a loss and time is running out. I figure with all the master woodworkers out there in the Kreg Community, someone is bound to know of something.

Thanks in advance for the help and Semper Fi.

Yeah, I did the Google thing. I was looking for more of a "diagram and parts/cut list" than guesstimating off a picture and rolling the dice. If it was for me to store junk in my basement, I wouldn't mind trial and error, but since it's a gift, I'd rather not do that. Thanks, Rob

Anyone know where to find GOOD plans for a military Foot locker?

Thanks

With the development of scientific and technological progress, the creation of new means of armed struggle, the military danger to the civilian population has increased many times over. The 20th century was especially characteristic in this regard.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
