I use the Wixey gauge anytime I adjust the angle of the blade. It's worth every penny I paid for it.

I have the Wixey & use it to set any angle except 45 & 90. I have trusted squares for that. I played around with 22 1/2 angles on 2" wide by 12"L & made a very nice glueable cylinder.

I use a digital angle gauge for my table saw, it also works great leveling my travel trailer.

As for the saw, the built in marker never stays in place so I can't count on it. There are also times when I'm cutting odd angles like between 53-68 degrees, not many angle gauges can measure it accurately enough. I also use it to check the angle on my miter saw when doing crown molding to make sure I've got good sharp cuts.

I use a small square to check when I adjust something on both my table saw and mitre saw. My mitre saw was a bit off from new. I have a digital square/level but that is a bit too big and a bit painful to set at 90.
