When I sent my kreg jr kig for 1 1/2 thickness and the collar on the bit it barely is on the 2x4??? I was trying it with a 2x3's but I don't see how that will work. Set it up for 2x3 and the jig is off the board since the board is not that wide?? what should it be set at??? please help thanks

Can you take some pictures and attach them? That would help us understand what you are trying to do and what the problem is.
My guess is that you are trying to join the 2x4s edge to edge to make the top surface.
The entry point to the jig may be off the board you are drilling, but the exit point of the jig should be roughly 1/2 way across the 2x4 you are drilling. The exit point of the bit along the edge of the 2x4 should be about the center of the edge.
As an aid to the jig placement and added stability, try clamping two 2x4s together, edge to edge. Align your jig to one of the free edges, clamp and drill.
Thanks tim you are exactly right, that is what im trying to do, 2x4s edge to edge and the jig is hanging of the board and with a 2x3 its way off the board if everything is set up for 1 1/2, ill try it, thanks

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
