Nice to see that you keep an ''ax'' close by.

Never know when one has to ''whittle'' a little off, to get the right fit.

My set-up is way different. My Kreg is just screwed to a 1x10 so it can live on my "clamp tree", along with my shop vac accessories, apron & tool belt. Seems I was always using the clamps after drilling pocket holes.

To answer your question, yes it will work; I did have to use 1" screws though. My first one was made from scrap 1/2" plywood and will get good wood for the finished product. I want to store all the components from the Kreg Jig® Master System. The problem is that the Portable Base is 2 1/2" and will not fit in the drawer. I am going to make another and will…

Here's my final project. As you can see, I'm not really concerned with looks. Functionality is what I care about with this project. I changed teh sizes around a little. I also used 3/4" ply all the way around. Although I did use 1/4" ply for the drawer bottom. So far, I'm very happy with it.

Ken, I like that idea. I may order some and try to make some metal ones. I've made some from maple before. But it just adds to the length of time it takes to make any type of jig or sled. I usually have a short amount of time to work in the shop anyways.
