Kreg Owners' Community

Hi All,

I am working on my workbench and I have a question that maybe I am just missing.  I am following the plans as far as the settings go for the Kreg Jig.  So on the holes that are going from 2x4 to 2x4 they say to set the Jig to 1 1/2 and the drill bit to 1 1/2.

Now on the holes that will go from the 2x4 to the MDF (3/4") it says to change the Jig setting to 3/4 -- my question is do I change the drill bit to 3/4 as well?

I am not following when to change the jig setting and drill bit -- or should they always be in synch?

Thanks.

I watched the video series for the work bench plans with Jeff Devlin, according to him, you change the bit depth and adjust the jig.
