I am looking to get a router table for the first time.  I need something that is small and fairly portable.  I am considering the Kreg Benchtop.  Can anyone tell me if this is compatible with most Routers?  In particular I have a Ridgid  R29302.  Should I consider buying a separate router just for the table.

thanks,
Mike

Thanks Robert, I appreciate the advice.

You drill your own mounting screw holes in the mounting plate so yes your Rigid should work fine. The portable table does not have changeable center rings though so you are stuck with the size hole it comes with. I would recommend the bigger Kreg router table because you can do more with it and the fence is much nicer.
Mike,
You could always make a router table. There's a ton of plans around and I'd be more than happy to help you out with it if I can.
I looked at one in the grizzly store in Muncy Pa.
Large table for a portable.
If you have the bucks for the big Kreg table if not its agood solid table.
