<p>Walter, I seem to always perfer a course thread. and I would attach the ply to the solid cause the screw will hold better in the solid wood. If you are using the right angle clamps be carful not to put to much presure on the clap into the ply wood or it will tear it up. And always use wood glue. This wil will be a very strong joint.
