I have not used my k3 kreg jig yet but was wondering if someone can give me some pointers. Has anyone joined 2x pt lumber such as a 2x10 and a 2x6 to created a wide staircase stringer. I was thinking of using polyuerethane glue and alternating pocket joints front and back every 8 " for a total of 4ft.

I think Kreg's special deck jig might be just what you need.
So let me get this straight you want to make a stringer that is basically 2x16 lets say.. and you want to edge join the two boards with your Kreg jig......

I've never done this but I'm thinking it would work if you glued and screwed it... The Kreg joints are strong as hell.
No need for the deck jig if I understand you correctly...

So the question is why? :-)

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
