YAY,  my automaxx is here.   No chance to actually put it to use yet but did try it on a variety of boards.  Seemed to work like a charm.   It does have a far reach for my short fingers but I doubt many of the guys would have that issue.   My go to clamps are the Kregs and every indication shows that this one will be my favorite.

I did get my clamp it works great. I used not for kreg joint but to hold some mitered pieces and cut some biscuit joints.

When they get in my Lowes I will pick up another. Can't have enough clamps .

Been using the new automaxx all this past week and it works like a charm.  I even like the fact that when I have multiple Kreg clamps on the table, the automaxx is easy to spot simply due to the design.   I really wish the big box stores carried more Kreg porducts in general.  It seems my best bet is ordering online but then you have to wait for delivery instead of cash and carry.

I've shopped my local Lowes for simple "O" rings, and they haven't restocked them in over 3 weeks.

They don't even stock fittings to repair some of the water hoses they sell!

I've talked to the store manager---waist of time---

BUT---

they do have a good supply of pop and candy!

Go figure.

Rockler's got their stock of the KREG clamps, shortly after Kreg announced the availability.

Rockler has the largest selection of KREG products.

My lowes had the 3" auto clamp in stock but not the 6". No price either didn't get back to find the price.

I really want the 6" clamp.

I do not understand why the Kreg products are so limited at the stores. It seems like there is more exposure in magazines and I have watched them being used on DIY type shows.  I am normally not a brand specific buyer but have not been disappointed in the purchases I have made thus far. I wish the stores would realize there is demand for these items and stock a greater variety of the items.

Big box stores corp purchasing generally makes the call, as to what's stocked at the regional stores.

Not all stores can stock everything.

Many have limited space and budget.
Not all items are needed in a specific region.

I'd suggest you approach the dept manager or store mgr---

make your concerns directly to them.

When I need a product thats not in store stock, I contact the mgr or go to the special-orders desk.

If the item is available on their warehouse stock list,

the item can be shipped to the local store.

Give the employees a chance to help---they all try to accommodate the customers.
